Nayela

Summer Garden 2022

Event Slider

Born in Brussels, Nayela moved to Angola as a teenager where, inspired by her guitarist father and by her brother (DJ and producer Nazar), she took guitar lessons, ventured into digital production and competed on The Voice. She later moved to Lisbon where she joined Dino d’Santiago’s band and honed her sound using a blend of influences – Semba, MPB, R&B, Kuduro, Kizomba and electronic music. Her debut single ‘Perda’ combines vulnerability and nostalgia through its undulating bass, broken beats and ethereal synthesizers.
