It was on the island of Santiago, where she grew up at the side of great women and notable figures of traditional Cape Verdean music, that Kady‘s interest in music and theatre was born. After winning contests for young singers, she launched her first solo album, Kaminho, in 2015, through Broda Music, and moved to Lisbon. She performed «Diz Só» (Dino D’Santiago and Kalaf Epalang) at the 2020 edition of the Festival da Canção. The release of her first EP will happen this year, a fusion of urban and traditional sounds.
