Mynda Guevara

Summer Garden 2022

Event Slider

From Lisbon’s Cova da Moura neighbourhood, Mynda Guevara carries, in her name and in her attitude, a thirst for revolution that is closely tied to the (still largely unappreciated) role of women in rap. Her rap, written in creole – as a true and emancipatory form of expression – has won her respect; and her lyrics reflect her role as a woman of African descent and a rapper in a stratified society.

Summer Garden

This performance is part of the Summer Garden festival, which presents this year a transdisciplinary and eclectic programme, curated by Lisboa Criola – Dino D’Santiago, that explores several forms of artistic expression.
