Frederick Wiseman's documentary La Danse follows the daily life of the Paris Opera Ballet, one of the world's most renowned companies.

Over the course of 12 weeks, Wiseman immerses himself in the day-to-day life of the prestigious dance school, known for its excellence and rigour, following the production of seven ballets, from rehearsals to backstage.

The film touches on the beauty of classical dance and the sacrifices made by the dancers, but focuses above all on the complexity of the institution, the relationships between dancers and teachers, the challenges faced by the company and the link between tradition and innovation.

Film in English, with Portuguese subtitles. This includes an intermission.
