Education
The school community – teachers, students, parent associations and families – is one of the basic pillars of our society, and their involvement is essential in the construction of a more participatory, more knowledgeable society, with a greater critical spirit and deeply grounded on scientific values. As such, the IGC develops science education programs that target teachers and students at all levels of education, from pre-school to higher education, aiming at greater involvement of the school community in science and its methodologies. The goal is not only to facilitate the transmission of knowledge, but mainly to awaken curiosity and to promote the understanding and the assimilation of the scientific method.
