Born and raised in the rhythmic heart of Rotterdam, with deep roots in the Cape-Verdean islands, Adison Fernando discovered the power of music while still a young man – first as a rapper, later as an author, producer and collector of his dad’s records.
As a founding DJ of CaboVerdeVinyl, he brings not only music, but an experience, giving life to his Cape-Verdean heritage in the diaspora: from forgotten classics to raw funaná, from morna to the rare Cape-Verdean grooves that never saw the light of day.
Each set is a musical trip – through generations, history and emotion, he connects, moves and surprises. His mixing desks are a platform for identity, memory and community.
