We open the second weekend of Summer Garden 2026 with a concert by Portuguese-Brazilian musician, composer and DJ Alex D’Alva, who mixes experimental and pop music.

Alex D’Alva’s career kicked off in 2012 with the EP Não É Um Projecto, which led to the formation of D’ALVA, a band that has released three albums and performed at important stages like NOS Alive and Super Bock Super Rock.

As an author, he participated in the Festival da Canção 2019 and worked with artists such as Virgul, Ana Bacalhau and Miguel Ângelo. As a DJ, he played in renown clubs and events like Lux Frágil, Planeta Manas, ModaLisboa and Ageas Cool Jazz.

He recently edited a solo EP, LIVRE, in which he combines the energy of the dancefloors and a pop sensibility with his Afro-diasporic roots. At the same time, he collaborates frequently with artist Grada Kilomba and the theatre company Teatro Praga in the field of the performative arts.
