Expresso newspaper published an article about the Microbiota Vault project. The Microbiota Vault project started with the preservation of stool samples from isolated tribes in Ethiopia. Scientists believe that the incidence of colorectal cancer, asthma, or diabetes is related to the disappearance of microorganisms from the human intestines. Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência takes part in the project.
