In Cape Verde, the Lab in a Suitcase is being used to train secondary school teachers and students. A measure understood as critical for empowering students and preparing the programmatic content to be developed at the university.

 The Lab in a Suitcase is a low-cost, portable and easy-to-maintain experimental kit that allows educational and scientific research activities to be carried out independently. This project was developed to promote science democratization, boosting scientific research and science teaching more inclusively and globally. 

The Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência develops LiS within tha scope of a partnership established with the Merck Family Foundation and the Oeiras City Council.
