Moises Mallo
Director
Moises Mallo has a Medical degree and a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). After short postdoctoral training in Tom Gridley’s lab at the Roche Institute of Molecular Biology in Nutley, NJ (USA), he moved to the Max Planck Institute in Freiburg (Germany), where he started his work as an independent researcher. In 2001, he moved to the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência to lead the “Patterning and Morphogenesis” research group and build the “Transgenics Unit”. His work focuses on different aspects of vertebrate embryonic development and their impact on the generation of morphological diversity across vertebrates.
