This intensive EMBO Practical Course aims to provide innovative training in digital optical imaging, data analysis and its application to biological systems. We aim to go beyond the use of out- of-the-box, often commercial, solutions for image quantification and empower biologists to develop their own computational solutions for advanced quantitative imaging. Topics covered include computational image analysis using python, machine learning, and deep-learning application to noise-reduction, segmentation and super-resolution.
