III PROCULTURA Resident Artists’ Showcase
28 – 30 Mar / Free entry
Between March 28 and 30, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation presents III PROCULTURA Resident Artists’ Showcase, a contemporary dance programme bringing artists Nuno Barreto, Djam Neguin and Rosy Timas from Cape Verde and Pak Ndjamena, Mai-Júli Machado and Francisca Mirine Mozambique. The artists will reveal six recent creations carried out during the residencies held under the PROCULTURA artist mobility programme.
This is a vibrant programme that showcases a range of choreographic practices by African artists at the crossroads between tradition and contemporary dance. The show promotes a space for the presentation and sharing of these creations and dialogue with other contexts of contemporary creation, encouraging the international circulation of the participating artists.
Programme
Action funded by the European Union, co-financed and managed by Camões, I.P. and co-financed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
