In Sacralidade [Sacradness], creator and dancer Rosy Timas evokes a world devastated by wars and social injustices that force humanity to appeal to the ‘sacred’ to return spirituality to human beings.

The dramaturgy of this performance explores the powers of resistance of women, the beauty of life and bonds with the divine as a vital force for the transformation of beings. Hence, this solo work is also an invitation to reflect on the ‘sacred’ that exists in each one of us.

Focusing on the persistent struggle of women against the deafening noise of silence in their minds, Sacralidade also sets out to make a contribution towards commemorations of the 50th anniversary of the conquest of liberty by the people of the Cape Verde archipelago.

The event takes place in the stage of the Open-Air Amphitheatre.
