Location
Studio Centro de Arte Moderna GulbenkianIs the contemporary body free or controlled? Original or an imitation? Are our experiences of the body influenced by the cultural standards in which they are located?
Based on these questions, dEUs nOS aCudI also seeks to investigate how secularised religiousness, the beliefs, the divinities, the rituals and myths are interconnected in our daily lives. The artist questions how they may be deployed as a strategy for social control, directly impacting on our bodies and society through rules and standards.
