Vinicius Terra

Event Slider

Born and raised between the limits of Pavuna and São João de Meriti (Rio de Janeiro), Vinicius Terra is a pioneering figure in Brazil, who has managed to unite his two vocations: he is a rapper and a Portuguese language and literature teacher. As a cultural activist, he develops educational projects and interchange festivals based on two concepts – “Rap Lusófono” and “Nova Lusofonia” – which are the foundation for his discography dedicated to Hip Hop culture.

His music, created over more than two decades, combines Boom Bap, Trap, Afrobeat, Jazz-Rap, and spoken word, in dialogue with Fado, Bossa Nova, marrabenta, morna, funaná, MPB, samba-canção, and candomblé.
