Presentation of issue 221 of Colóquio magazine dedicated to Luís de Camões, with interventions by José Augusto Cardoso Bernardes and Rita Patrício, moderated by Joana Matos Frias.

As part of the celebrations marking the 500th anniversary of the birth of Luís de Camões, Colóquio magazine presents a special issue dedicated to the writer’s life and work.

The issue includes fourteen essays on his work, covering poetry, painting, cinema, theatre, and dance, written by various artists and thinkers. It also features previously unpublished texts by Almada Negreiros, Gonçalo M. Tavares, Julia de Souza, and Almeida Faria, as well as reviews of more than 50 recently published books in Portuguese.

The magazine is illustrated with photographs from the series Na Ponta dos Dedos, produced in 2016 during the restoration of the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, by Luís Pavão and Rodrigo Tiago.

Professors José Augusto Cardoso Bernardes and Rita Patrício will be at the Book Fair to present the publication, in a conversation moderated by the magazine’s director, Joana Matos Frias.
