Location
Open-Air Amphitheatre Gulbenkian GardenConsidered one of the most genuine and vibrant African voices, Eneida Marta is a true ambassador of Guinea-Bissau’s music. Since the beginning of her musical career in 2006, she has performed in major stages around the world, from Madrid and Barcelona to Vancouver, Rome, Mexico City, Boston, London, Bern, Amsterdam, and Budapest. With a voice filled with soul, dreams, pain, and joy, her music celebrates the various ethnicities that make up Guinean culture: Balantas, Fulas, Mandingas, and Manjacas.
Following her fifth studio album, Ibra (2019), which already hinted at an exploration of more urban sounds, Family (2022) presents itself as a work that boldly and refreshingly blends traditional Guinean music with the contemporary urban genres of Drill, Trap, and Afrobeat.
