Institution(ing)s
‘Institution(ing)s’ is a project composed of eight organisations in seven European countries, which aims to create a framework for instituting an emerging social vision, and to test and share innovative methodologies applied to art institutions.
‘Institution(ing)s‘: planetary plotting (with) art institutions’ is the first public programme of the wider ‘Institution(ing)s’ project, which in the next few years will include artist residencies, exhibitions, laboratories, workshops, performances and talks.
Through this programme, the project investigates how long-term collaborations that centre socially, economically and environmentally sustainable working methods can envision an expansive form of connecting with artists and collaborators towards imagined futures. ‘Institution(ing)s’ also explores alternatives beyond institutional critique towards a healthier and fairer artistic ecosystem.
‘Institution(ing)s’ is funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Neither the European Union nor EACEA can be held responsible for them.
