The Foundation is to open a tender, running from 22 July to 27 September, for third sector institutions engaged in the field of ageing with the objective of fostering the development of projects especially focused on combatting isolation and loneliness among the elderly and correspondingly facilitating ageing “in the home and the community” based on autonomy, social participation and building-up individual wellbeing.

Guaranteeing the very best care in the early years of the life of children and ensuring their development is as precocious as possible, right even from conception, is the objective of the Seed Project that the Foundation is to support. This project is taking place at the healthcare centres across the council of Amadora under the coordination of the National School of Public Health. This initiative seeks to decisively influence the life projects of children, young persons and their families, compensating for the factors of risk, which raise the incidence of disturbances, through factors of protection that ensure an interrelated network providing qualified care services at the right time and when not pre-emptively. The Foundation is also preparing to introduce a pilot intervention project in the area of child health and wellbeing.
