Mapas para uma Feli(z)cidade
Happy City Map
What about happiness? How do we think about happiness and how do we put it on the map of where we live and in our own lives?
Using the spoken word/theatre as a motto and music as a means of expression, a group of people living in Fundão embarked on an odyssey (i.e. a creative process) in which they experienced a series of participatory activities, individual challenges and group experiences aimed at reconnecting people and places and giving space to the different voices that inhabit the city. This was the building block of this artistic process, of these happy city maps drawn by several hands, with several voices, based on the choices made along the way, on the people and the places themselves where this Fundão odyssey took place, and finally (which can also be a beginning) shared as a party, a celebration of life, a rediscovery of places and of ourselves.
The project was developed as part of ATOS, an initiative of the D. Maria II National Theatre and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
