Cidadãos Ativ@s Program launches new tenders
Targeting Portuguese non-governmental organisations (NGOs) dedicated to strengthening civil society, reinforcing active citizenship and empowering more vulnerable groups, the new Cidadãos Ativ@s Program tenders are launched on 1 September.
These new tenders for funding totalling €1.85 million aim to support projects that develop four major axes making up this program co-managed by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Bissaya Barreto Foundation:

Each project presented may receive a level of funding varying between 20,000 and 75,000 euros, for a maximum period of twenty months.
These four tenders follow on from the previous rounds run in 2018, 2019 and 2020 that have already provided support totalling 8.1 million euros for 122 different projects.
On 1 September, a clarification session (that takes place both in-person at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon and also via the digital platforms), provides participants with the opportunity to pose questions directly to the Cidadãos Ativ@s Program team. The clarification session is followed by a workshop with practical case studies and advice on filling in the application forms (in-person only).
Access to the online session takes place on the same day and does not require pre-registration.
