The travel grants will be attributed by Camões, I.P. and by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in the context of the European project PROCULTURA PALOP-TL in the fields of Music and Scenic Arts (Theatre, Dance, Cirus, Opera and Singing).

This action aims to promote and encourage the frequency of artistic residencies in Europe, Brazil, Australia and other countries which are neighbours of the PALOP and Timor. This way, it will support development of artists’ work and promote the dialogue with other contexts of contemporary artistic creation, encouraging its recognition and international circulation.

The applications are due on the 30th of September for the artistic residencies taking place this year and the next.

In 2019, 12 artists from Angola, Cape Verde and Mozambique were selected to attend artistic residencies in South Africa, Brazil, Kenya and Portugal with the support of this project.

PROCULTURA PALOP-TL is an action by “Programa Indicativo Multianual PALOP – Timor-Leste e União Europeia”, financed by the European Union, co-financed by Camões, IP (who manages this initiative) and by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
