The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a Portuguese private-law institution of public utility that carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon and its branches in Paris and London. Its core purpose is to promote the improvement of quality of life for individuals and organizations through art, science, education, and philanthropy, contributing to a more equitable and sustainable society.

We are looking for an intern to join our Risk Management team who, in a work context, can acquire, develop, and deepen a set of knowledge and skills complementary to their academic training. These are essential for their future professional career, making use of the tools and processes required to monitor risks in order to prevent and mitigate them, with particular focus on leveraging the capabilities of the IT tool used in this function.

Internship conditions

  • Duration: 12 months;
  • Extracurricular professional internship contract;
  • Initial and continuous training provided;
  • Monthly internship allowance plus meal allowance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in key risk management processes, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting;
  • Monitor mitigation plans and risk indicators, including maintaining and developing their database;
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of reporting information and dashboards related to the risk management function, for submission to different management levels;
  • Support the preparation of the risk assessment report, which formalizes the results obtained from assessments carried out across the Foundation’s departments.

Required skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, economics, or IT (Level 6 of the National Qualifications Framework);
  • No minimum experience required;
  • Proficiency in using IT tools;
  • Knowledge of risk management software/tools (preferred);
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Teamwork ability;
  • Organizational and planning skills;
  • Attention to detail and autonomy;
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
