The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is an international institution, based in Portugal, dedicated to promoting the development of people and organizations through art, science, education and charity, towards a more equitable and sustainable society. The Foundation carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon, and from its branches in Paris and London.

The Marketing and Information Systems Department provides support across the board to the Foundation’s various activities, and operates in the following areas:

  • Brand management;
  • Advertising campaigns and media plans;
  • Content management, social media, and email marketing;
  • Development of audiences and market research studies;
  • Business intelligence and Advanced analytics

We are looking for a Marketing Intelligence Trainee to join the Marketing and Information Systems team, who will benefit from the opportunity of working with a multidisciplinary team and of contributing to the dissemination of the Foundation’s wide range of activities.

Contractual conditions: Professional Internship Contract (12 months)

It is possible to conclude an employment contract after the internship is over, should the Trainee’s good performance on a personal and professional level be recognized.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build dashboards and monitor reports on the activities of the Gulbenkian Foundation, ensuring the processing and integrity of operational data, in order to support decision-making by the various organic units;
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on the performance of relevant operational areas, identifying opportunities and suggesting improvements;
  • Monitor the main metrics of digital platforms, reviewing campaign results (SEM, Display and Social), while ensuring best SEO practices;
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of market research initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree completed in areas with a strong analytical component, namely Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Business Management, etc.;
  • Proficient in using Office tools, in particular Microsoft Excel;
  • Good grasp of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console/SEO, and Microsoft PowerBI (from the user’s perspective) are highly valued;
  • Good grasp of SQL, Python, R or Microsoft PowerBI (from a programmer’s perspective) is also valued;
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and good interpersonal relationship skills;
  • Strong analytical ability;
  • Good command of written and spoken Portuguese and English language.
