The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose fundamental purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation operates from its headquarters in Lisbon and delegations in Paris and London.

We are looking to recruit a Public Relations Intern to join the Central Services team, providing support for the activities carried out at the Gulbenkian Foundation, including the organisation of events.

Contractual conditions: One-year professional internship.

Main responsibilities

Events and Conferences

Providing support and assistance to the events and speakers visiting the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, acting as a liaison between the Foundation and the event organiser, ensuring the quality of the service provided and contributing to the success of the initiatives held. Overseeing and providing logistical support for lunches, dinners and cocktail parties held at the Foundation.

Information collection

Collecting and organizing all the information and documentation necessary for the organization of the various events and initiatives, filing and forwarding the same whenever necessary.

Liaison between agents

Coordinating the relations between the different agents, organising and promoting support between them and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s departments.

Articulation with the various areas

Participating in the articulation and communication with the various areas of the Foundation, with a view to collecting and providing data, information or documentation necessary for the development of activities.

Required skills

  • Degree in Public Relations or similar
  • Excellent customer service and event support skills
  • Mastering of support tools for event assistance management (ARTIFAX)
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Portuguese and English
