Grants for projects that contribute to the international visibility of works by Portuguese creators or foreign creators residing in Portugal in the areas of Performing Arts – Dance (choreography) and Theatre (theatre and opera staging) –, Visual Arts (drawing, sculpture, photography, performance, painting, and video) and Film (directing).

These grants are aimed at Portuguese and/or foreign creators or programmers/curators with a demonstrated history of activity in the Portuguese art scene, to allow them to present visual and cinematographic works and shows in prominent international contexts.

Projects that are awarded grants must include the public presentation of an in-person activity.

Who can apply

  1. Portuguese individuals;
  2. Foreign individuals with permanent residence in Portugal;
  3. Private non-profit institutions of Portuguese artistic production.

How to apply

  • Only applications submitted online and written in Portuguese will be accepted;
  • Register;
  • Before submitting the application form, please check that you meet all the eligibility criteria. We recommend reading the Regulations and Frequently Asked Questions (available in the Documents section);
  • The application can only be submitted after all the mandatory fields of the form have been filled in and the documentation stipulated in the Regulations has been uploaded;
  • At the end, click on “submit application”. In order to avoid complications with your submission, do not leave your submission to the final days of the application deadline.
