Support for projects that contribute to the international visibility of creators in the areas of Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Cinema and Cross-Disciplinary projects.

Lisbon Time

The aim of this grant is to encourage projects that contribute to creating and strengthening international collaboration networks with an impact on the professional growth of the candidate artists as well as the visibility and recognition of their work;

To support the travel of artists/programmers/curators to participate in artistic projects promoted by leading international cultural institutions with regular activity in the areas covered by the open call.

Grant conditions

The following artistic areas are supported:

  • Performing Arts: dance, theatre and new circus;
  • Visual Arts: drawing, sculpture, photography, performance, painting and video;
  • Cinema: directing;
  • Cross-Disciplinary Projects: projects that integrate at least two different disciplines, the main one being one of the artistic areas defined for the competition (Performing Arts, Visual Arts or Cinema), and cannot focus on the fields of architecture, design, publishing or music.

Eligibility requirements

Who can apply:

  • Portuguese artists, curators and programmers in their individual capacity, or through private Portuguese non-profit organisations with which they collaborate in the implementation of the project. Foreign artists must have tax residency in Portugal and be part of the Portuguese artistic community;
  • Projects must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the date of their execution and must be executed within the period of 12 months following the application;
  • Each artist can only submit only one application per year;

  • Applications will only be accepted online and in Portuguese.

How to apply

  • Register to apply;

  • Before submitting the application form, check all the eligibility criteria. We advise you to read the Regulations and Frequently Asked Questions (available in the Documents area);

  • Applications can only be submitted once all the mandatory fields of the form have been completed and the documentation required by the Regulation has been uploaded;

  • At the end, click on the ‘submit application’ button. In order to prevent difficulties in submitting applications, avoid submitting your application in the last few days of the deadline.
