Woven Sounds
Duration approximately: 60 min.

Woven Sounds is a musical and visual journey into the dazzling world of Iranian tapestry. Inspired by his work on his own documentary, filmmaker and composer Mehdi Aminian leads this unique concert, delving deep into Persian traditions. On stage, singer Maryam Abtahi also develops a meticulous and beautiful work of weaving at the crossroads of music. We’ll hear work songs linked to this artisanal process, an example of how, over the centuries, singing has affected this practice, which is Intangible World Heritage.
