Total approximate duration: 90 minutes without intermission

An exciting musical journey from Seville to Isfahan, contrasting the Golden Age of Spanish culture (15th and 16th centuries) with the same period as experienced by Persian and Ottoman music. The result of painstaking research, this is a concert in which the Moorish influences present in the music of medieval Andalusia establish a natural dialogue with the composers who were working at the same time for the sultans of the Middle East. An inspired meeting between Constantinople, an ensemble that investigates the world’s musical traditions, and the Accademia del Piacere, focused on ancient Spanish music.
