This tour addresses the audio-visual work by Mikhail Karikis, as well as the participatory and collaborative process of the project, a co-production between the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Artallis.

Mikhail Karikis (b. Thessaloniki, 1975) is a Greek-British artist who works with moving images, sound, performance and other means of artistic expression, collaborating with diverse communities.

The audio-visual installation on display reflects the participatory project ‘Sounds of a Revolution,’ involving fifty students from Artallis – the Arts Conservatory of Loures – and culminated in a performative and musical show held in the Foundation’s Grand Auditorium.

The project highlights the community spirit and dreams for the future of the younger generations, while reflecting on the revolutions yet to come.
