This film is part of the International Museum Day film series, an invitation to dive into the world of fashion through three documentaries.

A documentary by filmmaker Kate Novack, tracing the career of André Leon Talley, one of the most influential figures in fashion journalism and former editor of American Vogue.

The Gospel According to André explores Talley’s childhood in the segregated American South, his rise within the world of fashion and the way in which he challenged racial and social norms in a predominantly white environment.

Through interviews, archive footage and first-hand accounts, the documentary reveals the intelligence, charisma and vision of a man who redefined the role of elegance and representation within the fashion industry.
