This film is part of the International Museum Day film series, an invitation to dive into the world of fashion through three documentaries.

McQueen is a documentary that traces the career of British fashion designer Alexander McQueen.

Through previously unseen archive footage, personal interviews and extracts from his most striking catwalk shows, directors Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui offer an intimate portrait of the man behind the genius – from his humble origins in London to his consecration in the world of haute couture.

Combining art, darkness, emotion and beauty, McQueen reveals the designer’s visceral talent while laying bare his inner conflicts, the constant pressure of fame and the emotional challenges that would tragically come to mark his life.
