Part of Antecâmara’s residency, this workshop explores the act of construction as a process of live activation, ranging from harvest to the transformation and return of the matter to the soil.

This practical workshop, led by Antecâmara, introduces biomaterials and processes that transform live matter into a construction element, exploring matter that grows, is gathered or regenerates over time, such as raw soil, plant fibres, mycelium, salt, lime, hemp and organic waste.

Starting from the idea that construction is not merely a question of putting together, but also of activating cycles, the workshop guides participants through harvesting, mixing, growing, drying, transforming and eventually returning the matter to the soil. The manual process is regarded as a form of knowledge and imperfection as an integral part of the project.
