End of adolescence, end of school, the last summer before the world of work for a group of friends from Alcoitão, ‘’BDA’’. Without any adults around, there is the illusion that they can do what they want. André improvises rap as he improvises life in the search for a path that would give more freedom, attempting to flee from that closest to him and what he knows even while never becoming able to get away from his own self.

Karlon, born in Pedreira dos Húngaros and a pioneer in Creole rap, runs away from the neighbourhood where he has been rehoused. Nights on the lookout, under a feverish, tropical heat. In among the sugar cane, a rumour. Karlon cannot stop singing. Altas Cidades de Ossadas provides an inquisitive and imaginative probing of his memories, of the institutional surroundings, and the submersed histories of a sombre period.

At the end of the session there is a conversation with the director, the curator Miguel Valverde and the italian film critic Paolo Moretti.
