O Corcunda, by Gabriel Abrantes and Ben Rivers
Redemption, by Miguel Gomes

Os Sonâmbulos, by Patrick Mendes (22′) / 2014

In an automated world, a factory feeds of its own manual labour.

O Corcunda, by Gabriel Abrantes and Ben Rivers (30′) / 2016

A delirious sci-fi riff on the Arabian Nights’ Tale of the Hunchback. The directors Rivers and Abrantes submerge us in a technological dystopia reigned by Dalaya.com, a mega-corporation that forces its employees to ‘relax’ at company-run medieval re-enactments.

Redemption, by Miguel Gomes (27′) / 2013

On January 21st 1975, in a village in the north of Portugal, a child writes to his parents who are in Angola to tell them how sad Portugal is. On July 13th 2011, in Milan, an old man remembers his first love. On May 6th 2012, in Paris, a man tells his baby daughter that he will never be a real father. During a wedding ceremony on September 3rd 1977 in Leipzig, the bride battles against a Wagner opera that she can’t get out of her head. But where and when have these four poor devils begun searching for redemption?

At the end of the session there is a conversation with the director, the curator Miguel Valverde and the italian film critic Paolo Moretti.

Maximum 2 tickets per person.
