Auditorium 2 Calouste Gulbenkian FoundationLisbon is the cradle of great literary productions and movements. One of the most important was the utopia generation, which emerged in the emblematic Casa dos Estudantes do Império, made up of poets who also became architects of the independence of Portuguese-speaking African countries.
This poetic performance honours the richness of Angolan poetry, bringing its purest and most vibrant form to the stage of Auditorium 2, since many of these poems were written to be recited. Carla Costa Gomes, Miguel Sermão and Marco Mendonça, four talented actors of African descent, bring the poems to life in the most comprehensive anthology of Angolan poetry.
