This guided tour proposes a journey through the exhibition, which brings together around 100 haute couture pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries, in close dialogue with the permanent collection of the Gulbenkian Museum.

The visitor is invited to observe how past aesthetic ideals and artistic movements continue to inform contemporary haute couture.

Through the juxtaposition of works of art and creations by masters such as Dior, Balenciaga, and Yves Saint Laurent, as well as leading figures in national design, fashion is examined as a fully-fledged artistic discipline — heir to a centuries-old tradition of beauty and exceptional technical mastery.

The tour in Portuguese costs 100,00 € per group plus the exhibition ticket value and in other languages costs 120,00 € per group plus the exhibition ticket value. All tours must be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Duration: 90 min. Participants: 10 – 25 Language: Portuguese / English / French
