The IGC is organizing a new course on Laboratory Animal Sciences (LAS) in Mouse and Zebrafish.

This is a CONGENTO harmonized program course, and its contents will follow the European Commission Guidance for Education and Training for Functions A+C+D* under the Directive 2010/63/EU.

This course is directed to users of Animal Facilities that need to be authorized by DGAV (Direção Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária) in order to perform procedures in vertebrate animals, and includes both Practical and Theoretical parts, planned as follows:

• Theoretical part: CONGENTO e-learning course through Google Classroom platform. Estimated online access on 16/April/2024.
• Practical part: held at IGC from 13-17/May/2024. Attendance to all practical sessions is mandatory so, please do not register in the Practical part if you cannot attend all lectures.

Application deadline: 14/April/2024. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent by e-mail no later than 16/April.

Important note: Please register in the Practical part only if you plan to use animals in the short-medium run and for the specie that you will need do use. Please, discuss this need with your PI.
