A Conference held by the Gulbenkian Health in Portugal Platform: Challenges for the future. Learning about and discussing case studies of success that resulted in improvements to healthcare provision in four European countries represent the core objectives of this event structured around the Platform’s four working themes: Patient engagement in decision making; A health promoting society; Electronic health records and the effective use of information; New service designs and staffing models.

In addition to members of the Platform, the conference features the contributions of four keynote speakers: Bas Bloem, the Netherlands, Poul Erik Hansen, Denmark, and Sir Harry Burns and Keith Willett from the United Kingdom.
