Quality in the provision of healthcare has become a priority in the management of health organizations, being particularly crucial at a time when costs are being cut and resources are scarce. In partnership with the National School of Public Health, the Sectorial Committee for Health of the Portuguese Institute of Quality and the Central Administration of the Health System, the lecture cycle entitled “Quality in Health” discussed four different themes. The lectures were compiled in a volume published by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
