This projects aims at creating a lab dedicated to sustainability, forestry and the forest-based bioeconomy on a farm in the municipality of Aveiro, open to the general public.
The purpose of the lab is to raise awareness of forest-related issues, which the lab addresses offering practical demonstrations, thereby giving visitors knowledge and tools to help them tackle today’s sustainability issues.
Floresta do Saber will also be equipped with tools to foster and enable participation in designing innovative public policies to support the Portuguese bioeconomy and forestry.
A forest laboratory, in the forest, with small testing rooms for different experimental activities, games, readings, exhibitions, interactive games, observations and material manipulation, where visitors can appropriate new bioproducts and bioprocesses.
