The Filarmónica Enarmonia project aims at promoting musical training and wind and percussion instrument practice among 30 seeing and blind or visually impaired children, young people and adults in Lisbon.

Over the course of 36 months, music theory classes, wind or percussion instrument practice and classes on learning to read sheet music and musical memory will be taught. The syllabus content will be printed on paper, in Braille and on embossed notation diagrams. With the forming of a philharmonic band, participants will be given the opportunity to play a set of compositions chosen based on their cognitive skill level and taste in music, in rehearsals and concerts.
