Corpoemcadeia is an artistic project for social inclusion aimed at sharing dance and theatre with a group of inmates aged between 18 and 20 who are starting to serve their sentence at the Linhó prison. Through body work and dance and being involved in the creative processes and methodologies of the Olga Roriz Company, built on the principles and practices of Gestalt Therapy, the project seeks to create places for experimentation and reflection on human identity and experience, and to raise awareness of society at large, in particular among artists and healthcare professionals, of the benefits this type of intervention brings.
Besides the final show, under the artistic direction of Olga Roriz, a book is also planned, outlining the new community artistic intervention model based on combining dance with Gestalt therapy, as well as a documentary about the project.
