The 13 artists were selected through a call for works between October and November 2023, aimed at all participants in the PROCULTURA international mobility programme who had already completed their artistic residencies. Over the course of five days, from 3 to 6 June, the artists will take the stage of the Elinga-Teatro in Luanda (Angola) to perform their creations covering various artistic fields – theatre, dance and music.

The submissions that were received were assessed by an independent jury. The event will be attended by Amelia Ngueve and Renata Torres from Angola, Bruno Amarante (Djam), Djamilson Santos (Nuno Barreto), Elisabete Fernandes (Bety) José Emanuel Brandão (Mano Preto) and Rosy Tavares from Cape Verde, Wilson da Silva and Livigia Monteiro from Guinea-Bissau and Francisca Mirine, Hilário Manhiça, Mai Juli Nhapulo and Nilégio Cossa from Mozambique.

The first edition of the Procultura Resident Artists show (MAR Procultura 2022) took place from 21 to 23 October 2022 in Mindelo, Cape Verde.

This event is part of PROCULTURA, a programme funded by the European Union, co-financed and managed by Camões I.P. and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to support the participation of artists from the PALOP and East Timor in international artistic residency programmes.
