The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose fundamental purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science and education. The Foundation carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon and its branches in Paris and London.
We are looking to reinforce the Partnerships with Africa Programme team with a Project Manager who will carry out the activities required to set up and implement development cooperation projects, in particular in the areas of science, including health research.
Contractual conditions: Fixed-term labour contract (2 years)
Main responsibilities
Implementation of tenders and preparation of project proposals
Supporting the setting up of tenders for grants and scholarships;
Collaborate in the process of evaluating applications for support/scholarships;
Support, in coordination with partners, the design of development co-operation projects, notably in the area of health sciences and, in particular, the preparation of joint proposals with other partners and applications for external funding (national and international).
Management and monitoring of development projects
Plan and operationalize the various activities inherent to the development of the projects according to the defined schedule and activity plans, ensuring the existence and availability of the necessary means, resources, services, and materials within the established deadlines and taking into account, where applicable, the eligibility rules of the funders.
Ensure the analysis, validation and confirmation of information, data, invoices, and documentation inherent to the development of the various projects, in order to support the management and decision-making processes, providing them with greater reliability, robustness and minimizing risks.
Prepare project implementation reports for submission to the different partners and ensure the collection and analysis of the respective evaluation indicators.
Interface with other organizational units and external development partners
Communication with the different areas and Organizational Units of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, requesting or providing information, data, or documentation necessary for the development of the activities of the other areas or units, in order to ensure internal alignment and cohesion, as well as articulation with external partners, including funders.
