The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose main purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon, and from its branches in Paris and London.

We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join the Audit and Risk Management team, which will be responsible for developing auditing activities, in accordance with the standards and processes set by Gulbenkian Foundation, as part of the execution of the annual audit plan, with a view to continuously improving control, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Foundation’s processes.

Contractual conditions: Permanent employment contract.

Main Responsibilities

  • Participate in the preparation of the annual audit plan, for superior approval, which shall be aligned with the Foundation’s strategic objectives.
  • Identify areas that show a need for deeper, more detailed analyses, with a view to proposing targeted audits.
  • Carry out various audits in accordance with the previously defined audit plan, ensuring that they follow the established standards and procedures.
  • Prepare audit reports, formalizing the results obtained, while identifying positive aspects, areas for improvement, and main recommendations.
  • Ensure that the various departments of the Foundation follow the recommendations and respective action plans.

Required skills

  • Graduate degree in the fields of economics, business management or auditing.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of technical audit.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of English.
  • Aptitude for using information systems from the user’s perspective.
  • Teamwork skills.
