The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose fundamental purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science and education. The Foundation operates from its headquarters in Lisbon and from offices in Paris and London.

We are seeking an intern to join our Central Services team in Educational Programming and Garden Outreach.

Contractual conditions: One-year Professional Internship Contract

Main responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating school and individual bookings, including space setup, equipment preparation, material procurement, and activity support (including weekends), as well as welcoming and guiding groups;
• Provide back-office support, including content selection, creation, and management;
• Assist in preparing supplier contracts, issuing purchase orders, document filing, and monitoring payments;
• Upload and archive materials produced for the Gulbenkian Garden website and manage additional content for promoting the Garden in the Gulbenkian Digital Archive.

Skills required

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field;
• No prior experience required;
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage information and handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Quick learner, comfortable with new software and computer applications;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Portuguese;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
