The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation is a private institution whose main purpose is to improve people’s quality of life through art, charity, science, and education. The Foundation carries out its activities from its headquarters in Lisbon, and from its branches in Paris and London.

CAM – Centro de Arte Moderna Gulbenkian is an art and culture centre with a collection of contemporary and modern art which includes the largest representation of Portuguese artists to date.

CAM is seeking an Intern to join the Collection team.

Contractual conditions: Professional Internship Contract

Main Responsibilities

  • Check the conservation status of works of art;
  • Check the appropriate location for works of art;
  • Support the moves of works of art;
  • Support the process of integrating works of art into the collection;
  • Continuous improvement of the collection inventory.

Required skills

  • Graduate degree in Art History/Museology;
  • No minimum experience required;
  • Good organization and teamwork skills.
