These short-term scholarships enable qualified students, early-career academics and researchers based in Armenia to take part in international conferences, seminars, short courses and research trips abroad related to their field of study. The programme aims to encourage academic exchange and the sharing of knowledge and ideas.

Scholarship Conditions

Scholarships are mainly awarded for short-term travel. In exceptional cases, longer research or study visits may be considered, for a maximum duration of three months. The programme is open to applicants from all fields of research.

This year, priority will continue to be given to applications in the humanities and social sciences, as well as to projects related to environmental sustainability and climate change.

Applications are accepted throughout the year, no earlier than six months and no later than two months before the scheduled event.

Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis. The average response time is around one month, although it may be longer during peak periods.

The scholarship amount is fixed; please refer to the table in the Requirements, Criteria and Conditions document for details. All scholarships are awarded and paid in euros.

Eligibility Conditions

Applicants must be:

• Studying or based in Armenia.
• Under 35 years old at the time of the application
• A Master’s or PhD student, or a researcher from Armenia, wishing to attend international conferences, seminars, short-term courses or undertake research trips related to their field of study
