These scholarships support students of Armenian origin in crisis-affected Middle Eastern countries in completing their undergraduate degrees.
Documents
The Gulbenkian Foundation supports students of Armenian origin residing in Middle Eastern countries affected by crisis – primarily Lebanon and Syria – by encouraging the pursuit of higher education degrees in any field at a university officially recognised in their country of residence.
This scholarship category is also open to students in Armenia studying social sciences. In exceptional cases, a limited number of applications for study abroad may be considered.
Up to 50 new scholarships are awarded each year, for a maximum duration of three years. Each scholarship provides a fixed annual grant of €4,000 (or a lower amount where tuition fees are minimal). Priority is given to undergraduate degrees in the social sciences.
These scholarships are primarily intended for undergraduate students, although up to seven master’s students may also be selected.
