Gulbenkian Research Scholarships on Portuguese Culture for Foreigners
Scholarships for non-Portuguese researchers who reside abroad and wish to conduct research in Portugal on topics of Portuguese Culture, in the field of Humanities.

The scholarships will support research carried out in Portugal, in the fields of literature, history and art history, with the aim of publishing a scientific paper, a publication or part of a publication, an academic thesis or part of an academic thesis.
Conditions
The scholarship includes:
a) A monthly allowance in accordance with the following:
b) A one-time payment of 1,000€ for travel and installation expenses.
c) Personal accident insurance during travel.
The scholarships will be awarded for a minimum period of 2 months and up to a maximum period of ten months, non-renewable, to be used in the academic year 2026/2027.
Eligibility
The call is aimed at non-Portuguese doctoral students and senior researchers who reside abroad and wish to conduct research in Portugal.
